Miss Rhonda’s newest book about a real farm family and their dog Sugar. This chapter book contains six stories about Sugar the dog defending the chickens from a hungry fox and having a bad experience with a skunk. The children plant a vegetable garden, play all day in the snow and help grandma make a new quilt for a special reason. One story follows the farm from planting to harvesting. This level two book contains words that are mostly phonetic with some sight words and long vowel words. Miss Rhonda’s books and cards are used in Montessori classrooms around the world.
